Techradar has a great article listing the 10 best Linux distributions for 2010. They've picked what they believe are the best distros for: beginners, experts, windows refugees, old hardware ... the list goes on. Well worth the read as it lists out heaps of different distros.

Mint Linux - Ubuntu Killer?

Mint Linux has been around for a while and it's based on Ubuntu. Apparently the Mint people think Ubuntu is too difficult so they've worked hard to make it easy to use.
